Jesus the Extremist - Pro Love / Anti-State

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2018/03/john-w-whitehead/a-blueprint-for-resistance-jesus-christ-vs-the-police-state/

".. In that dramatic scene on Calvary’s hill three men were crucified. We must never forget that all three were crucified for the same crime — the crime of extremism. Two were extremists for immorality, and thus fell below their environment. The other, Jesus Christ, was an extremist for love, truth and goodness, and thereby rose above his environment. Perhaps …the nation and the world are in dire need of creative extremists.” —Martin Luther King  .."

This article can be read in it's entirety at the link above .. some clips follow:

".. Jesus Christ, an itinerant preacher and revolutionary activist, who not only died challenging the police state of his day—namely, the Roman Empire—but provided a blueprint for standing up to tyranny that would be followed by those, religious and otherwise, who came after him..."

He did that .. will not hear that from the pulpit of a US Government sanctioned church organization 501/C3

".. A radical nonconformist who challenged authority at every turn, Jesus was a far cry from the watered-down, corporatized, simplified, gentrified, sissified vision of a meek creature holding a lamb that most modern churches peddle. In fact, he spent his adult life speaking truth to power, challenging the status quo of his day, and pushing back against the abuses of the Roman Empire..."

Bingo .. what you see as "church" today is a far cry from the rebel lovers of others had in the Roman Empire .. their live was contagious .. and they did not need the state .. and avoided the state at EVERY turn.

".. Those living through this present age of militarized police, SWAT team raids, police shootings of unarmed citizens, roadside strip searches, and invasive surveillance might feel as if these events are unprecedented, the characteristics of a police state and its reasons for being are no different today than they were in Jesus’ lifetime: control, power and money.."

No different, we can learn from this rebel!

".. Much like the American Empire today, the Roman Empire of Jesus’ day was characterized by secrecy, surveillance, a widespread police presence, a citizenry treated like suspects with little recourse against the police state, perpetual wars, a military empire, martial law, and political retribution against those who dared to challenge the power of the state..."

This article is a must read for those wanting to live loved, love others in a world that wants to make you it's slave.

You Will See More of This: Incompetent US Government Sub-Contractors Expose the Deep State

From: https://www.theburningplatform.com/2018/03/30/possible-gov-false-flag-or-mkultra-victim-caught

" .. Francho Bradley, 59, and Adrianne Jennings, 40, were arrested in Tewksbury, Massachusetts with a large cache of weapons including large-capacity guns, a grenade launcher, and a silencer. Bradley told police that he was on a secret mission and he owns a company called Ensyma Engineering, but he didn’t want to elaborate about what his company does. He said he was in the area working for a government agency that is “dealing with a virus,” Lowell Sun reported. It appears that Ensyma Engineering is a real business, and Francho “Frank” Bradley has actually worked on virus projects before with government agencies. Bradley and Jennings are being held without bail while awaiting a “dangerousness hearing,” and are being investigated by the Joint Terrorism Task Force..."

This was not on CBS, MSNBC or Fox .. because the US Government would not allow it .. it actually posted on Gab ..

".. The items police found, according to the report, included: A Texas license to carry (but not a Massachusetts license, or a military or police ID), an AK-47, an AR-15 with a grenade launcher and silencer (but no grenades), a .22-caliber rifle and silencer, two .308-caliber rifles with three loaded large-capacity magazines, a 9mm gun with two large-capacity magazines, a .45-caliber gun with two speed loaders, a shotgun, ammunition, and smoke grenades. The cache also included several military-style tactical vests with flash bangs, military-style smoke machines, tactical helmets, multiple cell phones, a DOD concealed carry badge, and six laptops. Both defendants have entered “not guilty” pleas. You can read the full police report, including all the items that were found, here..."

Seems the business is legit:

".. The website has archives on The Wayback Machine dating to 2013. The original version from 2013 was also owned by a person in Coppell, but it was called United American Consumer and focused on letting people know about American-made products, especially veteran-owned businesses. Bradley’s attorney has said that his client is an Army veteran..."

Yeah, will be getting a lot of former government employees being "used" by the State/Deep State to keep the threat of "guns" everywhere .. as justification for disarmament and an easier on-ramp to FEMA camps.

".. Jennings told police that the two of them “always bring guns with us in case he gets deployed,” according to the report.

Bradley did say some things about his work, but it’s not known how much was true. According to the police report and the Boston Globe, he said he had done the following:

  • Served as a Los Angeles police officer for five years, sometime in 1984 near the time of the Olympics. (When the police called to confirm, the LAPD told them to call back on Monday.)
  • Worked in “science support oncology”
  • Served as a military bomb tech
  • Knew details about the O.J. Simpson case that the public shouldn’t know
  • Had a prominent role in Barack Obama’s presidential election campaign. (Records show that in 2012, he donated $25 to the Obama Victory Fund.)
  • Had a prominent role with the German government as a plainclothes officer in the DST-K44 Unit. (Records from the University of Maryland show he may have been a German exchange student from 1976-1980.)
  • Worked for a “secret government agency”
  • “Saved a one-star general who was kidnapped a few years ago”

Bradley also had a badge that read: “Department of Defense, United States of America.”

Get the drift yet? (if not, just go back to posting your cat videos, nothing to see here)

For those still reading .. there is MORE!

".. according to a listing on ICWATCH, Bradley worked with the FDA via his Enysma business. According to ICWATCH, in 2009 Bradley worked as a Program Manager on a project with the FDA. His duties involved creating a “Professional Services offering of the portable VPN connected DNA/RNA Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) device GeneStat.”

The listing goes on to read: “including business analysis, Quality Assurance and development of operational methodology, recruitment, section and training of personnel as well as selection of mobile First Contact Team communications, bio-hazard protective equipment and CLOUD computing solution. This program is designed to create the capability to forward deploy personnel into areas of pathogenic (namely Influenza virus) activity and conduct onsite, real-time PCR analysis against a database of known pathogens. The program is on hold pending FDA Emergency Use Authorization of the GeneStat device and UN-WHO certification of the company.”.."

OK .. quite the resume ya think .. a deep state wan-a-be ..

".. Law enforcement officials expressed concern in the police report that Bradley might have been surveilling an area near the Boston March for Our Lives event. He had received parking tickets on two consecutive days in an area of Cambridge near the demonstration, Boston Globe reported. Bradley is not recorded in the police report as saying anything about March For Our Lives...."

The Boston Marathon is coming up .. just a coincidence I am sure.

Someone said:

".. These two are being charged with FORTY-FIVE felonies related to weapons!

How is it that the MSM is not running with this story 24/7? Is it because they are black? Is it because he wasn’t supposed to be found out?

How is it that only one week after the March for Their Limelight, two people are found with this type of weaponry and it is not a major story..."

Ya think?

Private Eyes Are Watching You

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-03-27/twitter-user-breaks-down-all-personal-data-facebook-and-google-collect

You can be framed by Big Tech / Government SO easily!

".. Facebook, Google and the rest of the tech behemoths store reams of personal data, essentially logging everything we do.

In response to demands for more transparency surrounding user data, Facebook and Google are offering users the option to view all of the metadata that Google and Facebook collect.

And as Twitter user Dylan Curran pointed out in a comprehensive twitter thread examining his own data cache, the extent and bulk of the data collected and sorted by both companies is staggering.

Google, Curran said, collected 5.5 gigabytes of data on him - equivalent to some 3 million Microsoft Word documents. Facebook, meanwhile, collected only 600 megabytes - equivalent to roughly 400,000 documents..."

Doesn't matter if you clear browsing history on one or two devices ..

".. Even after deleting data like search history and revoking permissions for Google and Facebook applications, Curran still found a comprehensive log of his documents and other files stored on Google drive, his search history, chat logs and other sensitive data about his movements that he had expressly deleted.

What's worse, everything shown is the data cache of one individual. Just imagine how much data these companies hold in total.

Google stores your location (if you have it turned on) every time you turn on your phone, and you can see a timeline from the first day you started using Google on your phone!.."

".. this is every place I have been in the last twelve months in Ireland, going in so far as the time of day I was in the location and how long it took me to get to that location from my previous one .."

"..Google stores search history across all your devices on a separate database, so even if you delete your search history and phone history, Google STILL stores everything until you go in and delete everything, and you have to do this on all devices.."

".. Google stores ALL of your YouTube history, so they know whether you're going to be a parent soon, if you're a conservative, if you're a progressive, if you're Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, if you're feeling depressed or suicidal, if you're anorexic..."

".. Side-note, if you have Windows 10 installed, this is a picture of JUST the privacy options with 16 different sub-menus, which have all of the options enabled by default when you install Windows 10 .."

I did not share this image, I installed W10 3x in last 6 months .. yup, they want all your info.

".. This includes tracking where you are, what applications you have installed, when you use them, what you use them for, access to your webcam and microphone at any time, your contacts, your e-mails, your calendar, your call history, the messages you send and receive..."

On and on .. sick!

Sell Your Coat, Buy an AR!

https://chuckbaldwinlive.com/Articles/tabid/109/ID/398/The-Law-Of-The-Sword.aspx

About 5 years ago, some we're critical of Chuck talking about Jesus making sure his disciples we're armed for self defense. Those that think they know better cheery-picked the Bible to prove Chuck wrong .. well a replay it worth the read these days ..

".. perhaps the verse of Scripture that my slightly confused brethren quoted most in their attempt to rebuke me was Matthew 26:52, “Then said Jesus unto him [Simon Peter], Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” (KJV) This, they said, proves that Christians have no right to keep and bear arms if the government said it was illegal to do so. However, with all due respect, this interpretation is opposed to the overwhelming evidence of Scripture to the contrary.

In the first place, consider what Jesus said just a few moments before making this statement. Just before arriving in the Garden of Gethsemane (where the statement was made to Peter to “put up thy sword”), Jesus told his disciples, “But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” (Luke 22:36 KJV)

After hearing Jesus’ command, the disciples replied, “Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.” (Luke 22:38 KJV)

Notice that Jesus plainly and emphatically told Simon Peter and the others to arm themselves. So emphatic was Jesus’ command that He told them if they could not afford to purchase a sword they were instructed to sell their clothes if necessary and buy one.

After hearing Jesus’ command to arm themselves, the disciples noted that already two of the disciples were carrying arms. Jesus’ response, “It is enough,” did not mean that only two swords (out of eleven men–Judas Iscariot had already left to betray Christ) was sufficient, for He had plainly commanded EACH MAN to arm himself. He was simply acknowledging that they clearly understood what He had just told them.

Ladies and gentlemen, the First Century Roman sword was the most efficient and lethal personal defense weapon in the world at the time. It is no hyperbole or injustice to language to say that the Roman sword was the First Century equivalent to a modern AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. It was designed to kill swiftly and efficiently. And Jesus commanded His disciples to buy and carry one!

Also note that the same word “sword” that is used in this passage is the same word that is used in Romans 13:4, “He (government) beareth not the sword in vain.” In other words, Jesus told His disciples to carry the same-type weapon that government soldiers were carrying at the time..."

So now we know the front part of the story, how about the the back story.

".. After this exchange, Jesus and His disciples walked to the Garden of Gethsemane where the events of Peter and the sword took place.

Simon Peter had already told Jesus that he was willing to die for him (yes, Jesus rightly predicted his denial, knowing how Simon would react to the events that unfolded in the garden), and when the armed soldiers from the High Priest (tantamount to the President’s Secret Service officers today) came to arrest Jesus, Simon Peter drew his sword in defense of his Master. He intended to cut off the soldier’s head, but the man ducked, and Simon cleanly sliced off his ear.

Notice that Jesus did not rebuke or chastise Simon. Remember when He sternly told Simon, “Get thee behind me, Satan”? No such rebuke is found here. And notice, too, that He did not tell Simon to “GIVE UP thy sword.” He said “PUT UP again thy sword into his place,” meaning into its scabbard. He fully expected Simon to retain possession of his sword.

It is also noteworthy that as Jesus was being arrested, the power of His voice totally overwhelmed the soldiers, which caused all of them to sway backward and fall to the ground. (John 18:6) This accomplished a couple of things: it caused every soldier in that garden to fully understand that theirs was not the preeminent power present. It also allowed His eleven disciples to leave unscathed TAKING THEIR WEAPONS WITH THEM, as the soldiers were either totally distracted by the surprise of what had just happened to them, or they were totally disinterested in attempting to disarm the disciples after this incredible demonstration of power against them.

But as Jesus had come to this earth to give Himself a ransom for sinful men, which meant that His betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion were all a part of God’s sovereign plan for His only begotten Son, Simon’s armed defense of Christ was not necessary. Jesus calmly reminded Simon of the legions of angels that were available for His defense, should He call on them. Then Jesus gave Simon the assurance that “all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”

And despite what you’ve heard so many preachers say regarding this verse, this was not a WARNING to Simon Peter; it was a PROMISE to Simon Peter.

What Jesus was doing was assuring Simon Peter that the tyrannical Roman and Jewish forces that were now using the sword against Him would one day themselves be destroyed by the sword, but that it would not be Simon’s sword that would be the one to do this. In other words, Jesus was stating a divine principle that tyrants and despots who unjustly rule with the power of the sword would one day be brought to the judgment of the sword.

Jesus’ statement had nothing to do with Christians disarming themselves in the face of tyrants; it had everything to do with God’s pronouncement of judgment upon tyrants who force their will on people by the power of the sword. He was saying, “Those who ruthlessly rule and govern by the sword will be brought to justice by the sword.” THAT is what Jesus said.

Did Jesus’ promise come true? You bet it did. A few years later, the Jewish nation was destroyed by the Roman sword; and a few years after that, the Roman nation was destroyed by the sword of the Goths, et al.

This promise to tyrants is repeated by the Apostle John in Revelation 13:10. Here Jesus inspired John to write, “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” .."

Christ followers are not to disarm in the face of tyranny .. not then with the Roman Empire .. nor now with the American Empire!!!

Government Wants to be the Only Gun in Town

https://chuckbaldwinlive.com/Articles/tabid/109/ID/3719/Red-Flag-Laws-Mean-Red-Flag-Rising.aspx

".. It took the State of Florida all of one week after a Republican house, senate, and governor passed one of the most draconian gun control bills in U.S. history to begin implementing the so-called red flag portion of the law that allows law enforcement officers to confiscate the firearms of any individual “suspected” of suffering from mental illness. The 56-year-old man was given no trial and no due process. The gentleman had committed no crime, no act of violence—not even the threat of violence. The State said the man MIGHT be crazy, so they confiscated his guns. Of course, all we have is the government's version (and that of their lackeys in the mainstream media) of the man's behavior that they say warrants his guns being confiscated.

As I have previously reported in this column, Washington State, Oregon, Indiana, California, Connecticut, and Rhode Island (the governor of Rhode Island issued a “red flag” executive order) are doing the same thing Florida did, as is Illinois, where a “red flag” law has already passed the Democrat-controlled State House of Representatives and Senate. And the Republican governor is sure to sign it into law.

In addition to the above 8 states, 22 other states have "red flag" laws pending—as does the federal government..."

Redcoats. SMH .. you can bet it will not be long before those that "serve and protect" in your community will come knocking .. because their analytics have determined that you are a threat .. to them .. errrrrr I mean to "the kids".

".. Allowing the government to decide who is mentally unfit to own a firearm without due process is patently Stalinesque.

Really? We are going to let the government tell us who is crazy?

Politicians and government officials are already on record as saying that people who believe in the New World Order or the Second Coming of Jesus Christ are mentally ill. Police agencies in the State of Missouri (and other states too—Missouri just got caught) are on record as saying if you oppose the Federal Reserve, the United Nations, the North American Union, abortion-on-demand, illegal immigration, etc., you might be a “dangerous extremist” and other such labels of mental instability. Christians, conservatives, and constitutionalists are often labeled as crazy by various people in government. Some even say that ANYONE who simply owns a gun is mentally ill.

Face it: In the states that pass these “red flag” laws, police can confiscate the guns of anyone they want. Period. Constitutional due process is absolutely dead in those states. And if the federal government passes a national version of a “red flag” law, constitutional due process is dead in America.

The former Soviet Union was famous for declaring people who opposed Stalin’s brutal dictatorship as being mentally ill, and, on that pretense, had them sent to prison or forced labor camps. Communist Chinese officials under Mao Tse-tung did the same thing. In fact, the communists in China STILL use this tactic today to help squelch public dissent.

The passage of “red flag” laws in the United States means the Red flag is rising in America..."

USSA is here .. and the Marxist has used emotion to triumph over truth.

".. Imagine, too, the can of worms this opens up. Angry ex-wives (or ex-husbands) give false testimony about the “Ex” acting weirdly with a gun or other charges of mental instability. Bam. Guns confiscated. Anti-gun liberals see a lawfully armed citizen in public and call authorities, accusing the armed citizen of acting crazily. Bam. Guns confiscated. Neighbors accuse someone they don’t like in the neighborhood of acting in an unstable manner. Bam. Guns confiscated. Someone doesn’t like a person praising Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson or founding fathers George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Bam. Guns confiscated. Or even someone who is contemplating doing harm against a person they know to be armed accuses the intended victim of behaving irrationally. Bam. Guns confiscated—and an innocent citizen made defenseless.

You don’t believe that will happen? Talk to the tens of thousands of American citizens who have already lost their right to keep and bear arms over an accusation of some form of domestic abuse. Oftentimes, the accusation ALONE is all it takes for a person to have his or her guns confiscated by authorities. Talk to the 260,000+ U.S. military veterans who have lost their right to keep and bear arms over accusations of having PTSD..."

I know .. you will say "It will be a safer world without guns" .. just try that .. I'll hold your beer. Depriving the innocent the ability of self defense is never an honorable cause.

".. Authorizing police agencies to deny someone their Natural and constitutional right to keep and bear arms on the basis of “suspected” mental illness and NOTHING else—no crime committed, no act of violence, no threats of violence, etc.—violates everything the Bill of Rights protects. Such action is the mark of a communist-style Police State in the making.

I'm telling you, folks, these "red flag" laws are going to create much more violence than they are pretending to prevent. Government gun confiscation will only be tolerated so far. With the propensity of government and police to overreact and presume a person guilty until proven innocent, thousands of law-abiding Americans in the near future are going to begin being subjected to these tyrannical tactics—and they WILL begin fighting back.

Furthermore, mentally ill people are still American citizens and, as such, have the same constitutional rights as anyone else. There are ways to respect lawful due process in making these determinations by relying on genuine medical professionals using thorough scientific investigative analysis. To turn the process of taking away constitutional liberties over to Police State tactics that rely on the testimony of untrained (or half-trained), second-hand, and often vindictive people is the mark of a totalitarian state—NOT a constitutional republic.

Disingenuous politicians, both Republican and Democrat, who pass these Orwellian backdoor gun control laws (which is exactly what “red flag” laws are all about) are only using Marxist-style incrementalism to further destroy the Second Amendment—along with the rest of our Constitution.

If our civil magistrates (local, State, and federal) were truly serious about preventing mass shootings, there is one simple way to do it: ELIMINATE GUN-FREE ZONES. Anything short of that is nothing but self-serving, big government politicians creating more laws to make it easier for government police agencies to take away our constitutional liberties..."

Simple solutions are never the government's way .. Redcoats suck.

What If? (Critical Thinking Required)

From Wayne Jacobson .. revisiting what the cross was all about .. consider:

What if we have understood the cross all wrong?

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Matthew 27:46

What if we have understood the cross all wrong?  In an attempt to explain the necessity of the crucifixion and provide a rationale for why Christ had to suffer such a brutal, agonizing death, many have looked at the problem of sin and suggested it was the only way appease the wrath of a Holy God, so offended by our sin that he had to brutalize his only Son to satisfy his need for justice.

The only problem is Jesus didn't refer to the cross that way.

Yes, "sin"  is a very real problem.  But what is it?  A simple dictionary definition would be "an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law", but that does little to pain a picture of the real damaging and painful affect that sin has on our lives.

Sin destroys us from the inside out, fills us with shame and makes us turn from God.  It blinds and separates us from the love of God.  That's the impact it has on us.  And thus, we assume that a Holy God could not possibly look upon sin, but rather must turn his back.  Infected by the disease, we are left feeling abandoned, forsaken!

This is what Jesus felt, hanging on the cross, when he cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”  He, who was sinless, was made to be sin itself, and in bearing the full weight of all our sins, they blinded him to his Father.  For the very first time, he was unable to sense God’s presence.  But God did not abandon Jesus on the cross, just as he does not abandon us.

2 Corinthians 5:19  "namely, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself."   He was there!!  In Christ!  He didn't turn his back, or look away.  Something deeper is going on.

Jesus wasn't just made guilty of our sins; he became infected with the disease of sin, so that in his body sin would be finally condemned and consumed.  As a sinless man, he was the only suitable host for God in which to destroy sin and shame.  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomever believes in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him." John 3:16-17

In Christ, the love and zeal of God confronted the lies and bondage of sin.  Finally, we can see God's wrath for what it truly isnot an angry need for vengeance, but the full weight of the Father's love to cure in the Son what was destroying the people he had made.

The wrath of God poured out on the cross is the brutal chemotherapy that provided the antidote to human brokenness.

What if God was offering to us a CURE?
an actual antidote for sin, that worked! ... what if?

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:37-39

The linked article "The Greatest Command" appears in A Man Like No Other, a beautifully illustrated gift book that unveils the life and teachings of Jesus, painting a more complete picture of the most engaging person who ever lived!  Let him become more than just the character in a book or some an empty religious icon.  In Him, the God of the universe came and took up residence in His own creation.  The world has never been the same since.

Pure Propaganda from the State - the Drive Towards Defenseless Innocent Masses (--> FEMA Safe Places)

The roots of gun registration towards gun restrictions making innocent people defenseless.

The book "Gun Control in the Third Reich" by Stephen Haibrook

The interview here talks about what really happened in Germany's Third Reich .. from after WWI to WWI.  Cam Edwards talks to Stephen Halbrook, Research Fellow at the Independent Institute, about his new book "Gun Control in the Third Reich". Come to find out there was a lot of unpublished things in the German archives that proves this possible path for states to follow.

Knowing how the Nazis confiscated guns from Jews and other perceived potential enemies of the state can educate people. Seems that “Youth parades” were one of Hitler’s favorite propaganda gimmicks.

So from 1931 to 2018 is not too far of a stretch to make some startling comparisons .. making people "FEMA Ready" .. for their "safety"!

Losing One's Faith or Losing One's Religion?

Another God Journey podcast .. talks about ".. a new documentary (Amazon streaming available for $ or the trailer here)  titled, Leaving My Father's Faith. It is a conversation between popular evangelical author and speaker Tony Campolo and his son, Bart, as the process Bart's loss of faith in Jesus after a lifetime of growing up in the faith (after 50 years) and working alongside his father as a colleague in the ministry. It is a compelling look at how these men put their relationship above their agreement about faith. But it invites some intriguing questions: How does someone so anchored in faith lose it, and how does Christianity as a religion contribute to that by disfiguring the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ?.."

Bart has now said that he believes that Jesus and eternity are not real .. only the here and now matter to him going forward. In fact, in retrospect, he chalks up any prior moments in ministry with his dad that he thought that he was in touch with God as crowd dynamics / crowd-think.

Kudos that Bart did not want to fake it anymore. Basically his disappointment in that so many prayers for him and others went unanswered. I guess getting God on our agenda is a dead-end street. God's ways are not our ways ..

This shows the failure of religion more than a failure of God IMHO. Tony himself calls the church a plausibility structure .. from a sociological angle, he sees church (building/structure/congregation) as the only way to preserve the Truth ... you need the structure and the participation .. otherwise the faith dries up. Yeah, IF what Jesus said about the vine and the branches .. it is He that is our fire!

I feel bad for Tony, who is now in his 80s and had his son that was part of his ministry, now dismissing it all. God, to Bart, did not love enough for Bart to continue following God. I feel bad for Bart because I think he was focusing on the "seen" vs. the "unseen" .. God's answer might be to allow someone to get to the end of their rope instead of Bart's expectations. But I digress.

Another win is that Tony and Bart are still in dialog .. just wondered why this was filmed and monetized as it seemed still pretty raw.

Walking away from religion does NOT mean having to walk away from God .. which Bart apparently has done.

God is knowable apart from the Scriptures .. His Love Letters help BUT are not essential to a real relationship with an Awesome Father. Yes, they give insights to God's character .. but His still small voice is precious .. and can be heard even of one is not reading the Bible.

Bart now struggles to create community without Jesus ... toward as a group .. to bless the world.

So it seems that the 35 million former Christians who gave up on religion and on God are a very real thing in our world. Hoping that as Bart nears 70 and 80 he comes to a point where he finds himself misguided like Saul in the New Testament .. that as a 50-something that is so sure of things that God can redeem this detour for Bart.

Does God Need to Be Appeased? (Relationship 101)

From The God Journey is a podcast that discusses 1) the rich and famous 2) Billy Graham (11:00 mark) and 3) the appeasement spin (Fire/Hell Insurance .. Turn or Burn) at 13:00 and later ...  that does not help the average person approach let along even trust God while they may readily trust Jesus.

How can anyone trust God when:

  1. He (Father God) supposedly HAD to have His perfect sinless son die while God Himself turned His back on Jesus at the cross
  2. He (Father God) HAS to have proper "payment" for being wronged
  3. Religion (conformity tool - fear-based) is pushed more than relationship, Sin-management vs. His process
Try taking "Eternity" away and then reflecting if God is approachable or lovable .. or an endearing presence. Jesus seemed to emphasize that knowing the Father is in fact true freedom.

Is God the Father that type of father that left your mom years ago and sends you a letter once in a while?

Religion's message is God was offended and Jesus dies for God to make Him happy. Bad things and shame in superstitious times as indication that something needs to be appeased. Performance then keeps God "happy". Religion uses shame to manipulate us ..

How can Jesus be our friend and God be the "bad cop"?

The view of the cross then becomes a key concept in how life is lived with a Father who is so very fond of me. Perfect love drives out all fear. God is Love at His core.

Jesus comes (God comes) and does not shame people .. He is in proximity with "sinners" and they did not feel fear in His presence.

Jesus came to LIVE first .. and God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) removes the ROOT of sin .. through Jesus' death on the cross. Father WAS there and did not turn His back .. NO DAD DOES THAT. (IMHO of course)

So is the Christian life duty .. or is it life with a loving Father and Friend?

His love sets us free from this shame management religion that man has built ... religion has gotten God wrong .. misunderstood!

[option: The Misunderstood God by Darin Hufford ".. THE MISUNDERSTOOD GOD tells the truth about who the Creator is. This book analyzes what religion says about God's heart and personality and measures it up to what God calls Himself: Love. It simplifies a generation's tangled perceptions of God by taking a journey through the sixteen aspects of love described in one of the most well-known Bible passages in the world: 1 Corinthians 13, also known as "the love chapter." So many Christians have been bombarded with confusing teachings and doctrines that their understanding of God resembles a tightly tangled ball of Christmas tree lights. This book takes that twisted mess and replaces it with one soft, warm light of truth that anyone can embrace: God is love..."]

French translation of the Bible, Paul comes off as a grandfather talking to his grandkids .. THAT is a better translation.

If God scares you .. check it .. ask yourself why! Why does Jesus not scare you? Ask God why this does not line up.

Living loved by the Father makes all the difference in the world .. it is no longer performance .. and we no longer measure ourselves by those around us .. win-win!

"... [this podcast discusses] how the Gospel is presented in our day and how it is perceived by the world. Do we serve a God that needs to be appeased, either by the death of his Son, or by us trying to ingratiate ourselves to him? The more Christianity paints the Gospel as God's need to be appeased rather than our need for his affection, the more the Gospel gets distorted. Why has appeasement become the overriding view of our relationship with God? And isn't it the opposite of what the Incarnation and the cross accomplished? If we live by appeasement we'll never discover the wonder of his affection for us."

A listener to this podcast reflected:

"...I asked friends for their thoughts to this; “What separates us from a relationship with God?”
Most responded with the standard institutionalized response centered on “sin.”

As I re-read the passages, it seems God had a relationship with His children up until the point that they felt SHAME.

Shame gets in the way of healthy relationships.

Looking over the Old Testament, God tried to help us appease our sense of shame.

Religion taught us to appease God (which kind of worked to FEED shame).

Jesus taught and sacrificed himself to REMOVE shame..."

His Truth is Marching On (Or Was It "My Truth is Marching on"?)

His Truth is Marching On | Abbeville Institute

Society, religion and government .. three spheres that overlap to various degrees .. even Israel 1.0, a theocracy, had all three. So in reflecting what we have in the 21st century in the USA we have to go way back in time to see the influences that got us here.

The core moment of this particular story is how in 1861 a song could be written that on it's face might be seen as a noble song. But just like hearing/saying the Pledge of Allegiance "sounds" good, one must deconstruct it to understand what it really says AND consider the source (in the case of the pledge, it was a socialist).

Quoted material below from:
https://www.abbevilleinstitute.org/blog/his-truth-is-marchinig-on/
https://www.abbevilleinstitute.org/review/understanding-the-battle-hymn-of-the-republic/

"... The "Battle Hymn of the Republic" was written by 41 year old Julia Ward Howe, former financier of John Brown's attempt to spark a slave revolt across the South in a way that would insure many innocent people might die (which in pure Puritanical thought was fine because the end justifies the means) . You should know that Julia and her husband Samuel Howe were not Christians as we think of Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians and so forth. During the 1850’s and 1860’s the Howe’s were in lock-step with most Unitarians of the northeastern States of that era and thereby embraced a very free-thinking, Transcendentalist, pretend-Christian theology. As was customary with Unitarians in Massachusetts during that era, the Howe’s belief in God and Jesus Christ (as we know it from the Christian Bible) was rather confused with Transcendentalism, Rationalism and The Doctrine of Necessity. Such confused religious belief was commonplace among Massachusetts intellectuals who had embraced the Republican Party..."

".. In November 1861, Julia was picnicking with her husband and others as they watched a review of Massachusetts troops, just outside of Washington City. During the review she was captivated by Massachusetts soldiers singing “John Brown’s Body” to a lovely tune that had been composed by South Carolinian William Steffe as a Methodist Sunday school and camp meeting song about 5 years earlier. But, it seems the review of troops was disturbed by some Confederate soldiers who opened fire on outlying pickets and sent the picnickers “scurrying back to the capital.” The original words put to  William Steffe's tune in 1855 were pure Christian in thought. However, two years after the conviction and execution of terrorist John Brown, certain Federal soldiers, who were imbued with an enthusiasm for Abolitionism, a hatred of southern States people (because a small percentage owned slaves) and an admiration of Brown, adapted for their militant purposes the “Say, Brothers” hymn, resulting is a gory hymn praising their hero. The tune was the same and the “Glory, glory hallelujah!” was the same, but the meaning was in no way an expression of Christianity..."

So let's compare.

The original lyrics of 'Say Brothers Will You Meet Us' are below:

Verse 1:

“Say, brothers, will you meet us,

Say, brothers, will you meet us,

Say, brothers, will you meet us

On Canaan’s happy shore?”

Refrain:

“Glory, glory hallelujah,

Glory, glory hallelujah,

Glory, glory hallelujah,

For ever, ever-more!”

Verse 2:

“By the grace of God we’ll meet you,

By the grace of God we’ll meet you,

By the grace of God we’ll meet you,

Where parting is no more.”

Verse 3:

“Jesus lives and reigns forever,

Jesus lives and reigns forever,

Jesus lives and reigns forever,

On Canaan’s happy shore.”

Summary ... Jesus' followers far and wide would empathize with this song.

Below is the John Brown song:

Verse 1:

“John Brown’s body lies a mould’ring in the grave.

John Brown’s body lies a mould’ring in the grave.

John Brown’s body lies a mould’ring in the grave.

His soul is marching on!”

The chorus:

“Glory, glory hallelujah!

Glory, glory hallelujah!

Glory, glory hallelujah!

His soul is marching on!”

“The stars of Heaven are looking kindly down.

The stars of Heaven are looking kindly down.

The stars of Heaven are looking kindly down.

On the grave of old John Brown!

“He’s gone to be a soldier in the army of the Lord.

He’s gone to be a soldier in the army of the Lord.

He’s gone to be a soldier in the army of the Lord.

His soul is marching on!

“John Brown’s knapsack is strapped upon his back.

John Brown’s knapsack is strapped upon his back.

John Brown’s knapsack is strapped upon his back.

His soul is marching on!

“His pet lambs will meet him on the way.

His pet lambs will meet him on the way.

His pet lambs will meet him on the way.

And they’ll go marching on!

“They will hang Jeff Davis on a sour apple tree.

They will hang Jeff Davis on a sour apple tree.

They will hang Jeff Davis on a sour apple tree.

As they go marching on!”

In summary, this basis song about John Brown for the Battle Hymn expresses "... the Unitarianism of the time, with a touch of Christianity, as it elevates John Brown to a militant angel who is admired by “the stars,” serves as a soldier in the “army of the Lord,” returns in spirit form to lead the Federal soldiers, called his “pet lambs,” as they push southward in their invasion of Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri and, that then accomplished, on into the Confederacy, climaxing with the hanging of President Jeff Davis. ..."

In Julia's first version (that was passed on to some of her friends) written the day after her picnic was interrupted, was a first person rendition of what she observed the day before. However, in the next few months this would morph into version 1.0 printed in the February 1, 1862 issue of The Atlantic Monthly magazine, on the front cover . It is very important to notice the differences:

Verse 1:

“Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:

He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;

He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:

His truth is marching on.

Remaining verses:

“I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,

They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;

I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:

His day is marching on.

“I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:

“As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;

Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,

Since God is marching on.

“He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;

He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:

Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!

Our God is marching on.

"... The words of the first verse appear to have been inspired by hearing the John Brown song the previous day, especially the third verse: “He’s gone to be a soldier in the army of the Lord.” It was there, the previous day, that “Mine eyes” — that is “Julia Ward Howe’s eyes” — saw the “glory.” And it is easy to believe that it is the martyrdom of John Brown that is “trampling out the wine press” and attacking with “his terrible swift sword” — that John Brown’s “truth is marching on.” You see, the “his” is not capitalized. But, in the edited version of “The Battle Hymn,” published in February 1862, “his” is changed to “His” to switch the meaning from John Brown’s “terrible swift sword” to God’s “terrible swift sword.” Since “His” begins the last line of the verse, we cannot tell if she is talking about God’s “truth” or John Brown’s “truth,” but it is not hard to assume she means John Brown’s “truth.”

The words of the second verse readily suggest that Julia Ward Howe — she is in first person, she is the “I” — sees John Brown in the “hundred circling camps” and sees soldier’s building “an altar” to John Brown or to his alleged “spirit” — this being evident by the use of a lower-case “him” instead of a capitalized “Him.” Again, in line three, she uses a lower case “him” to specify that the “righteous sentence” of death to Confederates is seen as being handed down by the spirit of John Brown. But John Brown’s presence would become obscured from verse 2 before publication in February, as the “him” would be replaced with “Him.” .. and so on with the rest of the lyrics in the rest of the verses.

For example, John Brown is clearly the mover and shaker in the fourth verse. Surely it was John Brown who “Sounded out the trumpet that shall never call retreat” and “has waked the earth’s dull sorrow with a high ecstatic beat.” Julia Ward Howe is crediting John Brown with starting the crusade that she sees unfolding before her eyes — the holy military crusade aimed southward. She closes with reference again to “Our God” inferring that the people of the southern States have some other God. This obvious calling to follow John Brown to battle would be seriously edited before Howe’s lyrics would be published in February. The second line would be completely rewritten to become, “He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat,” and in the third line “him” would become “Him,” thereby removing John Brown and suggesting that God or Jesus Christ is “sifting out the hearts” and sitting in “His judgment-seat.”.."

So what is to be said about this subtle shift from a martyred human hero (to some, terrorist to others) towards linking these ideas to be God's ideas and that claim of the moral high-ground?

Let's look back several centuries where we have no other than John Calvin as a spiritual policemen in Geneva, Switzerland in the 1540s. In that decade, "... 150 dissidents were burned alive on slow-burning pyres of green wood in an effort to promulgate adherence to the theologian’s cleansed religion by civil means.

It was precisely the descendants of Calvin, the Puritans and their rigid totalitarianism, rational asceticism, and adherence to a fluid theology as time went on that made it a breeding ground for the progressive ethos. Eventually gone were the Jesus followers, but what remained were rootless, majoritarian radicals, who aimed to “fortify the government of their own reason.” .."

"... Their subsequent vehement opposition to Scriptural traditions and Church heritage, and emphasis on personal interpretation (which by itself is not an issue) made Puritanism intrinsically schism-prone with each re-creation came gaping theological holes to be filled with differing ideologies, until God and Biblical justice were altogether abandoned for “social justice.”

Even when Calvinist-borne Congregationalism became the official state religion of Massachusetts, it still couldn’t stop the constant splintering and “the spreading of the contagion of corrupt opinions,” as colonist Rev. Thomas Shepard described it. After all, change had always been at the heart of the Puritan ethic.

Yet, the core dogma of forging heaven on earth, a new Zion, held fast. It was simply passed from the hands of the Christian Hebraist fathers to their puritanical atheist sons. No longer necessary were parishes or pastors or even God. Statism became the new church and the zealotry of its members was/is stronger than ever.

People would eventually become trained in the habits of obedience to the religion of secular Puritanism, if beaten down enough through law, regulation, invasion, war, re-education, propaganda, and reconstruction. Why recognize the reality of original sin and live your life in humble accordance when there is forced sanctification of the here and now? (when you can beat someone else over the head who dares to think different than yourself and yet claim that you are "diversity minded") .."

Truly, to the progressive Puritan, his (their god's) "truth" (ever changing) marches on ..

This rallying cry was underpinned by the idea of "divine providence" that God endowed America’s Exceptionalism and by virtue her growing dominion ...

"... Steeped in the Puritan ethic – a works-based path to salvation that played down the tenet of original sin – these reformers sought to civilize the Indians and Catholic immigrants settling the frontier .."

Unfortunately, this American Exceptionalism caught on even in the South before the War for Southern Independence:

  • “it was Southerners who embraced the great national wars against Great Britain in 1812 and Mexico in the 1840s … (and) the concepts of national greatness and manifest destiny,” explains historian John Devanny.
  • In fact, it was Virginia-born James Monroe who purchased Spanish Florida. He also gave us the influential Monroe Doctrine. It was a policy that put European powers in check, isolating the U.S. from their sphere of influence. But the doctrine also enabled the U.S. to seek its own ambitions in all of the Americas sans Old World competition.
  • It was Thomas Jefferson who made the Louisiana Purchase from France, doing so for unencumbered trade access to the Mississippi, but still doubling the size of the U.S. It was Virginian John Tyler who pushed for and signed a bill annexing Texas, permitting its statehood.
  • It was North Carolina-born and Tennessee-raised James K. Polk, who secured the Oregon Territory from Britain. He also acquired California and much of the Southwest through the Mexican-American War.
  • And it was Virginia-born Henry Clay, known as the “Great Compromiser,” who made a name for himself as a Kentucky politician by promoting the “American System” – a high-tax, pro-national bank, pro-central authority, nationalistic philosophy. In other words, Hamiltonianism.

".. There were notable exceptions, like John C. Calhoun, John Randolph of Roanoke, John Taylor of Caroline, and Jefferson before and after his presidency. But still, many influential Southerners seemed to have temporarily succumbed to the progressive mentality.

But all that changed with the election of 1860. It was the tipping point that gave “Dixie a ‘national consciousness,’” as Devanny describes it, snapping the duped Southern statesman out of his malaise and rekindling in him his localist and limited-government heritage..."

Now you know .. probably more than you wanted to.

Singing the Battle Hymn like saying the Pledge of Allegiance is not longer an option for me .. based on my principles.

Why Didn't the West (now Midwest) Align with the South?

https://www.abbevilleinstitute.org/review/who-won-the-webster-hayne-debate-of-1830/

I always wondered about this .. but 1830 "West" (currently the Midwest) were primarily pioneers from the South (Virginia) but by 1860 the majority had come from New England and New York ..

It is still interesting to know the insight those in the South and West had at the time (1830) as to the North's agenda and schemes:

".. The great debate began on December 29, 1829 when Senator Foot of Connecticut introduced a resolution of inquiry into whether it would be expedient to limit indefinitely the sale of public lands and to stop the surveys of new lands. Senator Thomas Hart Benton of Missouri rose the next day and denounced the resolution as yet another attempt by Eastern politicians to “check emigration to the western States.” Their hidden object he said was to “keep people in the East to work in the manufactories.”[2] When the Senate reconvened in January and the resolution was brought up for discussion Benton rose again and repeated his charge but this time he linked the policy of checking emigration to the West with the East’s support of the protective tariff. He described their mutual object as the enrichment of the business classes in the East by draining the wealth of the South and West. It was, he declared, “a most complex scheme of injustice, which taxes the South to injure the West, to pauperize the poor of the North.”[3] Benton seemed to be proposing an alliance between the Western and Southern states to overthrow these policies. As if responding to Benton’s call to arms, Robert Hayne rose the next day, 19 January 1830, and gave a short speech in which he called for a reduction in the tariff and a lowering of the prices of public lands sold to settlers. The current policies were oppressive, he said, for one impoverished the West, the other the South; only the East benefitted. He further argued that the proceeds from public land sales and import duties had created “an immense national Treasury” which he denounced as “a fund for corruption.” Its tendency, he charged, was to empower the national government by creating great interests dependent on thus leading to national “consolidation” and the prostration of the liberties of the states and the people..."

Yes, the parasites were growing strong even then .. and Yankee written US History would award Webster with the crown of wisdom for saving the Union philosophically.

".. According to the legend, Webster managed in the course of the debate to isolate the South, especially South Carolina, by discrediting her political principles of states’ rights, strict construction, and nullification, and exposing them as dangerous to the permanency of the Union. In addition, it is said that he imparted prestige and authority to the National Republican principles of implied powers, federal supremacy, and perpetual Union. From that moment onward, according to the legend, Americans increasingly saw the Constitution not as a compact among independent states but as a product of the people of the nation. Americans contemplated a national government not strictly limited by the Constitution but one empowered by it to promote national development and the public good. It is further claimed that Webster’s peroration with its paean to “Union and Liberty, now and forever, one and inseparable” captured the imagination of the people and engendered a new spirit of nationalism. This legend with its origins in the nineteenth century has remained unchallenged to this day .."

Sad and sick .. the true America would have split into two or three federations by 1830 .. but even then people sought safety verses liberty.

It's NOT the Guns Stupid .. It's Immoral People

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2018/03/walter-e-williams/not-always-like-this/

The stats show it clear, guns we're much nicer in the late 1800s. Let's make guns nice again ROFL.

".. One of the unavoidable tragedies of youth is the temptation to think that what is seen today has always been. Nowhere is this more noticeable than in our responses to the recent Parkland, Florida, massacre. Part of the responses to those murders are calls to raise the age to purchase a gun and to have more thorough background checks — in a word, to make gun purchases more difficult. That’s a vision that sees easy gun availability as the problem; thus, the solution is to reduce that availability.

The vision that sees “easy” availability as the problem ignores the fact of U.S. history that guns were far more available yesteryear (http://tinyurl.com/y73sw4ev). With truly easy gun availability, there was nowhere near the gun mayhem and murder that we see today. I’m tempted to ask those who believe that guns are today’s problem whether they think that guns were nicer yesteryear. What about the calls for bans on the AR-15 so-called assault rifle? It turns out that according to 2016 FBI statistics, rifles accounted for 368 of the 17,250 homicides in the U.S. that year. That means restrictions on the purchase of rifles would do little or nothing for the homicide rate..."

FACT: ".. Leaders of the gun control movement know this. Their calls for more restrictive gun laws are part of a larger strategy to outlaw gun ownership..."

STEP BY STEP their goal is only tyrannical government can have guns .. the colonists of 1775 would say, "Are you guys even thinking anymore?"

".. Gun ownership is not our problem. Our problem is a widespread decline in moral values that has nothing to do with guns..."

At this point Walter thinks that respect for authority has gone down hill .. true, but authority's reputation is built on their police state / Stazi shift since 1950s duh.

Walter also talks about religious teachings but there too is a hollow thought as head knowledge rarely touches the heart ..people need to know relationally the only One whose love can transform their behavior from the INSIDE! The religious leaders of Jesus' day put to death an innocent man .. so much for religion being "moral"

".. If any of our great-grandparents or even grandparents who passed away before 1960 were to return, they would not believe the kind of personal behavior all too common today. They wouldn’t believe that youngsters could get away with cursing and assaulting teachers (http://tinyurl.com/ya5zhyu6). They wouldn’t believe that some school districts, such as Philadelphia’s, employ more than 400 school police officers. During my primary and secondary schooling, from 1942 to 1954, the only time one saw a policeman in school was during an assembly period where we had to listen to a boring lecture on safety. Our ancestors also wouldn’t believe that we’re now debating whether teachers should be armed..."

Sorry Walter, while they would be shocked they would want to protect the kids .. believe me, a threatened one-room school-house under threat would have the teacher and all kids 8 and up armed to the teeth for defense!!!

".. There are other forms of behavior that would have been deemed grossly immoral yesteryear. There are companies such as National Debt Relief, CuraDebt and LendingTree, which advertise that they will help you to avoid paying all the money you owe. So after you and a seller agree to terms of a sale, if you fail to live up to your half of the bargain, there are companies that will assist you in ripping off the seller..."

True ... immoral BUT free market .. again, those with Jesus' love inside them WANT to pay all their debts ..

".. There are companies that counsel senior citizens on how to shelter their assets from nursing home care costs. For example, a surviving spouse may own a completely paid-for home that’s worth $500,000. The costs of nursing home care might run $50,000 a year. By selling her house, she could pay the nursing home costs, but her children wouldn’t inherit the house. There are firms that come in to shelter her assets so that she can bequeath her home to her heirs and leave taxpayers to foot the nursing home bill. In my book, that’s immoral, but it is so common that most of us give it no thought..."

Again, amoral people will be amoral. No law can legislate morality .. society is sick .. and it seems the the churches these days have little impact .. maybe because 97% think their god government can make everything fair and equal .. EXCEPT they are the most immoral entity on this planet!

".. There is one moral failing that is devastating to the future of our nation. That failing, which has wide acceptance by the American people, is the idea that Congress has the authority to forcibly use one American to serve the purposes of another American. That is nothing less than legalized theft and accounts for roughly three-quarters of federal spending. For the Christians among us, we should consider that when God gave Moses the commandment “Thou shalt not steal,” he probably didn’t mean thou shalt not steal unless you get a majority vote in the U.S. Congress.".."

You got that one spot-on Walter .. the parasites are alive as well as 2017 saw the highest level of tax revenue collected at Federal, state and local levels.

Conclusion: Immoral people and immoral governments KILL .. guns don't by themselves!

You Know a Nation is Dysfunctional When Common Sense is a Crime

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/controversial-free-range-parenting-now-legal-utah-heres-means-203114763.html

Utah passes laws to prevent common sense from being prosecuted!

So DC, suck that! You can bet the Feds will still stick their nose more in Utah's business now like the do in states that legalized recreational pot.

Striking that allowing children to “walk to an from school; wait in parked cars; go to the playground solo; and walk, run, bike, or play outside.” is outside the Federal Government's approved list for it's serfs and slaves.

So essentially, we have certain governments passing laws allowing people to live a life outside of a tyrannical bubble as has been imposed upon them by other governments and their citizen enablers (assorted crazies, busybodies, snitches, house-bound fraidy-cats, helicopter parents, and hyperventilating Safety Nazis).

USA is Faking It

Good insight as it seems that even mortal wounds can take time towards it's inevitable destination. The political scene is but an entertaining circus that will eventually hurt the ignorant/innocent most.

"... None of these public servants have cut a plea bargain yet, as far as is publicly known, but they are all, for sure, in a lot of trouble. Culpability may not stop with them. Tendrils of evidence point to a coordinated campaign that included the Obama White House and the Democratic National Committee starring Hillary Clinton. Robert Mueller even comes into the picture both at the Uranium One end of the story and the other end concerning the activities of his old friend, Mr. Comey. Most tellingly of all, Attorney General Jeff Sessions was not shoved out of office but remains shrouded in silence and mystery as this melodrama plays out, tick, tick, tick.

None of this makes President Trump a more reassuring figure. His lack of decorum remains as awesome as his apparent lack of common sense. But he has labored against the most intense campaign of coordinated calumny ever seen against a chief executive and his fortitude, at least, is impressive. What is unspooling for him, and the body politic, are the nation’s finances, and the dog of an economy that gets wagged by finance. Yesterday’s 724-point dump in the Dow Jones Industrial Average is liable to not be a fluke event, but the beginning of a cascade into the pitiless maw of reality — the reality that just about everything is grossly mispriced.

There is plenty of dysfunction in plain sight to suggest that the financial markets can’t bear the strain of unreality anymore. Between the burgeoning trade wars and the adoption in congress this week of a fiscally suicidal spending bill, you’d want to put your fingers in your ears to not be deafened by the roar of markets tumbling.

A 40 to 75 percent drop in the equity markets will leave a lot of one-percent big fish gasping on the beach as the tide rolls out. But the minnows and anchovies will suffer too, as regular economic activity declines in response to tumbling markets. And then the Federal Reserve will ride to the rescue with QE-4, which will very sharply drive the dollar toward worthlessness.

The result: a nation with a sucking chest wound, whirling around the drain en route to political pandemonium."

Government/Pharma Complex and Opioids

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2018/03/joseph-mercola/the-us-opioid-epidemic-a-war-of-a-different-kind/

".. The U.S. government is further exacerbating drug use by tightening restrictions on less harmful and far safer non-narcotic alternatives such as  medical marijuana, CBD oil and kratom. As noted by New York Magazine, “The iron law of prohibition, as first stipulated by activist Richard Cowan in 1986, is that the more intense the crackdown, ‘the more potent the drugs will become.’ In other words, the harder the enforcement, the harder the drugs.”.."

Nice touch eh? More money for each component of government from police action, SWAT teams and prison.

".. There are compelling reasons to suspect the opioid epidemic was purposely engineered by the drug companies that make them, and that these same companies have, and continue to, shy away from doing what’s necessary to curb the use of opioid pain killers for financially-driven reasons.

Moreover, while this was not likely planned, the industry’s misleading promotion of narcotic pain relievers appears to have coincided with a growing trend of emotional pain and spiritual disconnect, and opioids satisfy people’s need not only for physical pain relief but also psychological and existential pain relief. .."

Pharma probably has a version 2.0 answer to this too .. doesn't solve anything, just gets more people on the hook ..

The answers are natural, know there is Someone who actually cares .. and know that He provided plants and things in nature that can help:

".. The good news is there are many natural alternatives to treating pain, including the following:

Medical cannabis

Medical marijuana has a long history as a natural analgesic and is now legal in 28 states. You can learn more about the laws in your state on medicalmarijuana.procon.org. 30

Kratom

Kratom (Mitragyna speciose) is a plant remedy that has become a popular opioid substitute. 31 In August 2016, the DEA issued a notice saying it was planning to ban kratom, listing it as Schedule 1 controlled substance.

However, following massive outrage from kratom users who say opioids are their only alternative, the agency reversed its decision. 32 Still, its scheduling remains uncertain, as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently declared kratom an opioid.33

Kratom is safer than an opioid for someone in serious and chronic pain. However, it’s important to recognize that it is a psychoactive substance and should be used with great care. There’s very little research showing how to use it safely and effectively, and it may have a very different effect from one person to the next. The other issue to address is that there are a number of different strains available with different effects.

Also, while it may be useful for weaning people off opioids, kratom is in itself addictive. So, while it appears to be a far safer alternative to opioids, it’s still a powerful and potentially addictive substance. So please, do your own research before trying it.

 Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Naltrexone is an opiate antagonist, originally developed in the early 1960s for the treatment of opioid addiction. When taken at very low doses (LDN, available only by prescription), it triggers endorphin production, which can boost your immune function and ease pain.

Curcumin: A primary therapeutic compound identified in the spice turmeric,  curcumin has been shown in more than 50 clinical studies to have potent anti-inflammatory activity. Curcumin is hard to absorb, so best results are achieved with preparations designed to improve absorption. It is very safe and you can take two to three every hour if you need to.

Astaxanthin: One of the most effective oil-soluble antioxidants known,  astaxanthin has very potent anti-inflammatory properties. Higher doses are typically required for pain relief, and you may need 8 milligrams or more per day to achieve results.

Boswellia: Also known as boswellin or “Indian frankincense,” this herb contains powerful anti-inflammatory properties, which have been prized for thousands of years. This is one of my personal favorites, as it worked well for many of my former rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Bromelain: This protein-digesting enzyme, found in pineapples, is a natural anti-inflammatory. It can be taken in supplement form, but eating fresh pineapple may also be helpful. Keep in mind most of the bromelain is found within the core of the pineapple, so consider eating some of the pulpy core when you consume the fruit.

Cayenne cream: Also called capsaicin cream, this spice comes from dried hot peppers. It alleviates pain by depleting your body’s supply of substance P, a chemical component of nerve cells that transmit pain signals to your brain.

Cetyl myristoleate (CMO): This oil, found in dairy butter and fish, acts as a joint lubricant and anti-inflammatory. I have used a topical preparation of CMO to relieve ganglion cysts and a mild case of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Evening primrose, black currant and borage oils: These oils contain the fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid, which is useful for treating arthritic pain.

Ginger: This herb is anti-inflammatory and offers pain relief and stomach-settling properties. Fresh ginger works well steeped in boiling water as a tea, or incorporated into fresh vegetable juice.

Why Wars? Why Peace Does Not "Stick"

It is hard not to be alarmed as we can "tune in" to all the violence happening all over the globe.

What if many of us are missing something?

When I read of history it does seem that since the Garden of Eden there seems to be some heavy competition. Beginning with the first murder listed in the Bible, Cain killing Abel, it seems that even as God took the nation of Israel (version 1.0 NOT today's version) under His protection and proclaimed that it would bless the world .. the world was not blessed .. at least initially.

Genesis 12:1-3 "The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

So Jesus, God's son, comes to earth centuries later (after Israel fails to live up to expectations) and says that STILL there will be wars and rumors of war. (noted in the verse quoted above) However, in another verse he says:

OK .. so his message can give us peace .. BUT in this world we WILL have tribulation:

The worlds armies and navies are preparing .. so what are we to do?

I think it is key to reflect on why the first murder happened. One brother was jealous that another brother was favored by God .. that there was competition in the perceived performance towards a God that seemed to want rules followed period. It is all too easy to get trapped in the need to perform.  Many complicate "faith" ... and get further trapped in shame when it doesn’t feel like we or those around us are doing enough.

But when Jesus spoke these words, ... “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35) he was promising something that could release us from the burden of performance.

While this will NOT prevent wars .. it could help to give your family, work or community some peace if just a few people figure out that it isn’t up to us to try to earn God's love, but rather to learn to embrace it--and live in the joy of relationship with Him.  We are no longer in competition with others if we think God grades on a bell curve and those that perform well obtain His:

If that is all you think about, you probably are stuck in religion ... because apparently it is still all about you.

Alternatively, when we live in the security of a father/son relationship with Him, loving our neighbors as ourselves is no longer a burden or something we feel required to do in order to prove our love for God, or prove to ourselves that we are good believers ...

... it becomes a natural response to His love for us.  A willingness and desire to take care of each other becomes a natural part of who we are, a reflection of God’s love in us back to the rest of the world.

THAT is how we can bless the world .. by understanding His love for us first .. and that might take a while .. so take your time and ask Him to show you .. as he loves the hard questions as much as He loves the process.

In the mean time, know that this world is broken .. and the wars and rumors of wars will never stop. But if you would like just a little peace in the midst of the storm .. consider His message ... He will not force it on you. He's a great Dad!
